Audrey Hepburn, love at first sight.

Ever since I first saw her in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s 1961, I knew that I’ve met the most beautiful woman that has ever walked on God’s Green Earth.

Every time I put on her movie, I’m always filled with the same anticipation like I was watching the movie for the very first time. Her accent, her style, her smile never fails to capture my heart. Dear God, what would I give just to meet another Audrey Hepburn type?

If you want me to explain what is this thing that I feel for her, I really can’t. My biggest regret is not being able to meet her in person while she was still alive.

Top 3 movie recommendations.

1. My Fair Lady 1964
2. Breakfast at Tiffany’s 1961
3. How to Steal a Million 1966 (trailer below)

It’s about Friday Night

The latest single from Katy Perry is Last Friday Night (TGIF)

To the less exposed, here’s how the song came about.

So, first you have a music video from Rebecca Black which pulled in the most dislikes on YouTube. I feel disgusted even mentioning it. You call that a song?

Then you have super sexy Katy Perry who released Last Friday Night (TGIF) with Rebecca Black starring in it. Not only her, Glee cast, Debbie Gibson, Kenny G and Hanson too!  It entirely baffles me how this generation’s stardom effect works. You can be horrible, disgusting, scandalous (especially scandalous) and still make a big name. But I guess it’s always a good thing if it’s making a living for you. After all, with much complains from me, Rebecca Black is a lot richer than I am now considering the staggering sales of her song she got on iTunes. Guess, Katy Perry on the other hand also is helping her to look cool so that she won’t be laughed at further in her life after a mistake in uploading her music video on YouTube which her mum paid for.

Katy Perry did a cover of Rebecca Black’s Friday during one of her concerts.

Embarrassing Moments: Too early for a date

Have you ever turn up too early or too late for anything?

A flight? (I’ve heard friends who go to the airport 1 week earlier or 1 day late)
A wedding?
A birthday?
A concert?
A date?

A friend asked me out so I could help her with some PC stuff. So I said okay and the time was set at 8pm. I hang out in the office till almost 8pm then I left for the venue.

8:00 Told her I’ve arrived
8:15 I waited patiently
8:20 I texted her
8:30 Called her
9:00 Called her somemore
9:15 Gonna go home, date stood me up
9:30 Worried and lil’ pissed
10:00 Went home
10:30 Wait… I think the date is tomorrow instead of today
11:00 Laughs at self
12:00 She finally called and said sorry, I said it’s my fault. EMBARRASSING!

here’s the chat log for your entertainment :D

Always be ready to pose for the camera.

The sad truth about photos. It’s either damn good or damn ugly. There’s never a in between. Anything that is okay is bad. Only the damn good ones will find themselves onto Facebook, Instagram, Flickr and elsewhere.

examples of ‘wow’ pictures

examples of ‘nice, ok, too dark, blur…’ pictures

Who are you kidding, you’ll only upload those you think is ‘wow’ right? Anything besides ‘wow’ don’t make it to the public, ever.

So when someone is holding a camera pointing towards you. Make sure you put up your best pose cause the photographer ain’t gonna put only the ‘wow’ pictures.

That concludes my title – always be ready to pose for the camera.

Is sitting the new smoking?

Since January 21st, 2011, I’ve been opting to stand at work instead of sitting in my usual cubical.

Why? Don’t the new generation sit too much these days? We sit at work, we sit when we eat, we sit watching our TVs, we sit in the car, we sit during social events, etc.

Prolonged sitting is bad for your health. Scientist and medical experts believed that sitting is not great for you and your brain. I’m not saying that sitting will kill us but research shows that long bouts of sitting causes serious physiological responses related to chronic disease and a shortened life span. The University of Queensland found that people who stood up frequently had lower levels of C-reactive protein (a marker for blood fat). They also had smaller waistlines. It was the frequency of standing not the duration that counted.

One study found that a woman’s risk of developing metabolic syndrome increased 26% for every extra hour of sitting. Prolonged sitting in an upright position can strain your back resulting in chronic pain. Blood clots are another risk of being inactive. None of this is good for your brain.

Periods of standing throughout the day can improve circulation, muscle tone, and vitality. Standing up benefits the lean and overweight alike. Standing up frequently keeps blood flowing free to your head. So the better the heart functions, the better your brain works.

I’ll leave you with a video that shows you how bad sitting does to our health and also an infographic recently created by http://www.medicalbillingandcoding.org/
