The kid who wants everything spotless and shiny.

I heard a hilarious story recently.

A kid who was obsessed with cleanliness literally wants everything to look spotless and shiny.

She would try to pull down the ceiling fan cause she couldn’t reach the upper part to clean it. The result was that the father had to buy a new fan because she bent the current one. Her mum asked her to help out with washing the vegetable but ended up with a crushed dinner because she was washed them as if they were clothes. Her mum was extremely furious though.

Lastly, the kicker. She went to visit her uncle’s house. Outside the house there was this small pond with a fish inside. The fish is black, the pond is dark and looks dirty. She thought “poor thing, all black, let me clean you up” She nonchalantly grab some Fab detergent and started pouring into it. When the uncle found out what happened, the fish died. She was very very sad.

After a good laugh hearing the story. I ponder upon the innocence of a child-like belief. The belief that everything in this world should be clean. The belief that a black fish could turn white with Fab. How did we all grow up to be tainted with all the sins and corruption. Is education to be blamed? Is the society today to be blamed?

If only we all stay innocent like a child forever. There will be no war, no tears.

“Sometimes, knowing less is knowing more.”
